Well! Before I start, I must tell you that this ain’t the first-ever piece of content going live on the internet. I have lost count of the number and variety of blogs or articles that I’ve authored hit the web. But, this one is special for me because this is not a workpiece or assignment. This piece is born out of my sheer love, admiration, and passion for technology. It was lying half-finished in my notes folder and today — finally it is out in the open with my name on it. Now that you got a glimpse of how I started my personal writing spree, how about my other passion — Salesforce and Tableau CRM? Yay! Let’s walk down memory lane.

I have switched jobs, industries, and profiles throughout my professional life right after my engineering degree in Information Technology. I had other dreams after college but life took me on a different kind of journey. I missed being in the IT industry the most. Eventually, I moved to the same industry but not with the job role or profile I always loved. Then came the pandemic and the company I was working for started mass layoffs despite the unforeseeable future. Yes, they were insensible to fire people in the mid of the pandemic. But, after those long, painful, and depressing months of darkness finally, the sun blazed brighter.

While working with that company, I was reading a lot about the subject matter and came across Salesforce, which was pretty new for me. I bumped into Trailhead — the completely free platform from Salesforce to learn numerous courses, connect with people from the same industry, in an awesome gamified manner. So I have explored 2 or 3 modules on trailhead after creating an account there. But then couldn’t continue as the technology kept changing within the organization and my post-graduation studies began along the line.

Well, you must be puzzled now, that how did I fell in love with the Salesforce ecosystem again? Well, as I already told you. In the mid of the pandemic, I lost my job and moved to new rented accommodation on the opposite side of the city. My frustration, sadness, turned into depression, I was losing my mind. And suddenly in September, I got a call out of the blue from an HR executive. She asked me to share my resume and wait till it gets shortlisted by her client. I forgot this incident completely. After almost two weeks, she called back and informed me that my resume got shortlisted and I need to share a sample blog about Salesforce. I did that and then began browsing their website to understand what kind of services they offer to their clients. To ensure that I score well in the virtual face-to-face interview — in case they like my content.

Voila! My content got selected and the very next day at around 9 PM IST, the interview got scheduled with the organization’s VP. It went well, but I was still scared due to the past couple of months’ harrowing experience. Within a week I submitted my documents and received the offer letter. And the very next Monday was my joining date.

Once I joined there, I started learning about different aspects of Salesforce and how it eases customers’ and admins' lives. Meanwhile, I completed one year of my post-grad degree and about to begin the third semester and learned about Einstein Analytics (now Tableau CRM). Salesforce’s maiden artificial intelligence or analytics tool. I have also got trained in Salesforce admin with a voluntary crash course by a nonprofit organization named Codleo. It gave me a direction to shape my Salesforce journey and focus on the specific goals I want to achieve. Now, I have been shifted to a new department within the organization and I write for non-Salesforce content. But, I am moving forward to grab my first Salesforce job pretty soon.

Trailhead and YouTube is my biggest source to learn and stay motivated. I wish to complete my master's degree in Business Analytics and earn Salesforce Admin and Tableau CRM certification along the way.

Let’s explore the world of Salesforce and Tableau CRM together. Thank you for reading till the end!

Stay tuned for more on amazing technologies — today was just a flashback! The future holds more for all of us. See Ya!
